J.A.W.S. is a group started for women, by women - to help each other learn new skills, try new sports, build confidence, and find friends who share our passions.  We will be offering classes throughout the year in all sorts of subjects, suggested by you - we want to know what you are interested in learning.

        At this time we are able to offer the classes at no charge to you (donations are gratefully accepted).  If we have to charge in the future, we'll make that known well in advance of the class.  We include lunch, and if you would like to bring a dish to pass it would be very welcome, but not required.

        Registration would be helpful.  Please let Tina Hallquist know if you are interested in attending or if you have a suggestion for a future class

        Volunteers are always welcome - do you have a "specialty" in shooting sports that you would like to share with us?  

Our first official activity happened on April 2, 2005 - and was a great success.  With 17 women in attendance, we started our new group out learning about pistols.  We spent some time in the class room learning about firearms' safety, the workings of different pistols, and the ammunition used. Then the really fun stuff happened, one-on-one instruction on the range, firing the pistol of our choice.
